Currently the MOD art gallery at UniSA is featuring an exhibit that illustrates the work that Professor Mandyam Srinivasan (University of Queensland) has performed in understanding the neuroscience of vision. Titled, ‘Birds and bees’, the piece shines a light on the differences between human and animal perception, spatial navigation and illusion. The exhibit is particularly exciting for us as it features a large visual cue tunnel (pictured below), encouraging us to experience the same stimuli that the hoverflies in my current trackball experiment undergo. This exhibition is a beautiful marriage between science and art and I encourage you all to go see it before it ends in October 2018! (https://mod.org.au/exhibits/birds-and-bees/)
